Wedding Of Michael & Melissa - June 19th, 2010

Michael and Melissa, as you prepare to take these vows, give careful thought and prayer for as you make them you are making an exclusive commitment one to the other for as long as you both shall live. Your love for each other should never be diminished by difficult circumstances, and it is to endure until death parts you.
God has so united matrimony with human life, that a man’s deepest interest revolves around it. When a man and a woman have chosen each other and come to that moment when they sincerely and publicly join in this covenant for life, they lay down on the altar a holy sacrifice to God, to each other, and to humanity. Thus, they follow God’s order and in his ways find true happiness.

We are informed by the Word of God that: “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; Charity envieth not; Charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, Seeketh not her own, Is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity; But rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, Hopeth all things, endurth all things. Charity never faileth.”
A union embodying such ideals is not to be entered into lightly or unadvisedly, but reverently, discreetly, soberly, and in the fear of God. Into such a union you come now to be joined.
Statement Of Intention
Michael, Do you intend to take this woman whose hands you hold to be your lawful wedded wife; and do you pledge before God and man to love, honor, and protect her through sunshine and shadow alike; keeping yourself unto her alone until death shall separate you? If so, answer “I Do”
Melissa, Do you intend to take this man, whose hand you hold, to be your lawful wedded husband; and do you pledge before God and man to be to him a loving and true wife, through sunshine and shadow alike, keeping yourself unto him alone, until death shall separate you? If so, answer “I Do”
Wedding Vows
I, Michael, take you Melissa, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, til’ death do us part: according to God’s holy ordinance, and thereto I pledge you my love and faithfulness.
I, Melissa, take you Michael, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, til’ death do us part: according to God’s holy ordinance, and thereto I pledge you my love and faithfulness.
Exchanging of the Rings
Minister, You have chosen to seal you vows by the giving and receiving of rings. The ring forms a perfect circle, without a beginning or an end, and is thereby a symbol of eternity and signifies the duration of the commitment you are making. The gold of which the rings are made signify the purity and value of the relationship into which you enter. Michael, you may place the ring on the finger of your bride and repeat after me.
Groom, “ Melissa I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness to you.”
Minister, Melissa you may place the ring on the finger of your groom and repeat after me..”
Bride, “ Michael, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness to you.”

For inasmuch as Michael and Melissa have consented together in holy wedlock, and have witnessed the same before God and these friends, and thereto have pledged their faith each to the other, and have declared the same by joining hands and by giving and receiving rings, I do now pronounce you husband and wife, united in the pure and holy bonds of wedlock. Those whom God has joined together, let not man put asunder. You may now kiss your bride.

Minister: It is now my privilege to introduce to you for the first time as husband and wife; Mr. And Mrs. Michael B.
